What is Botox®?
Botox® is FDA-approved since 2002 and the process involves a series of small injections. How much Botox® you need depends on your own muscle mass, exercise regimens, and if you are trying to achieve full correction. The effects can typically last anywhere from three to six months, at which point treatment can be repeated to obtain the same results.
Our highly trained physicians perform Botox® in each of our three offices. While Botox® is certainly a more common treatment for women and men, safety is still our main focus. Once the injection takes place, we have you ice for a few minutes to help with swelling and bruising. You will notice your facial muscles will begin to relax after 7-10 days to get your full effects.
Botox® is a versatile treatment and is not only used for anti-aging treatments. At Plastic Surgery of Palm Beach, we use Botox® to help reduce both excessive sweating and for treatment of migraine headaches. Our doctors inject Botox® into the palms and under the arms to reduce excessive sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis.
