Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)
in West Palm Beach and Jupiter, FL

As the saying goes, “the eyes are the windows to the soul.” Our eyes say a lot about our face and our overall appearance. Serving as the focal point of the face, eyelids serve as a frame to these “windows,” so it is important for this area of skin to be in good condition to enhance their natural beauty. If you live in West Palm Beach, Jupiter, Palm Springs, Wellington, Lake Worth or any surrounding areas of South Florida, schedule an appointment with one of our  experienced board certified plastic surgeons.

What is a Blepharoplasty?

A blepharoplasty, or an eyelid lift, is a surgical procedure that can correct drooping or sagging upper eyelids which can give the appearance that you are sad or tired. In addition to aesthetic concerns, you may experience functional problems. Sagging upper lids can interfere with one’s vision. As skin begins to sag on your lower eyelids, it can create the appearance of “bags” or dark circles under your eyes. In some cases, lower eyelids may even droop far enough to reveal the whites of the eye below the iris.

How Much Does a Blepharoplasty Cost?

To determine the cost of your eyelid surgery, we invite you to schedule a private consultation at our practice. During your consultation, we will assess your cosmetic goals in order to pursue a treatment plan that matches your unique needs. Then, we will be able to provide you with a clear breakdown of the costs associated with your treatment. At Plastic Surgery of Palm Beach, we offer a wide array of monthly payment options to help you reach your individual wellness, beauty, and performance goals. We accept major credit cards, and our financing plans include CareCredit® and Alphaeon® Credit.

How Can I Enhance My Look with Eyelid Surgery?

Both upper and lower eyelid problems can be corrected through a surgical procedure called a blepharoplasty. The results of this procedure give patients a more youthful, rested, and rejuvenated appearance. To correct the upper eyelids, an incision is made within the natural crease to remove or reposition fat, remove excess skin, or tighten tissue and muscles. When correcting the skin on the lower eyelid, the incision is made at the lower lash line and excess skin and fat is removed or, in some cases, redistributed. In both upper and lower lid blepharoplasty, incisions are made in areas of the eye where scars heal inconspicuously in the natural folds and creases of the eye.

Are There Non-Surgical Alternatives to Eyelid Lifts?

As an alternative to eyelid surgery, you might also wish to consider options such as Botox®, chemical peels, or laser skin resurfacing. These procedures will smooth the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Some patients may even choose to use these procedures to complement and enhance the results of blepharoplasty once it is complete.
