BBL Photorejuvenation in West Palm Beach and Jupiter, FL

If you suffer from discoloration and unwanted skin pigmentation, you have probably experienced the frustration of trying to cover or even remove these blemishes. Though makeup can assist in concealing some discoloration, it can’t effectively hide all blemishes, and it certainly can’t eliminate them, nor can any over-the-counter creams or lotions. Broadband light therapy, or BBL™ photo rejuvenation, is a highly effective, non-surgical procedure that is used to treat skin problems in patients residing in West Palm Beach, Jupiter, Wellington and neighboring cities.

What is BBL™ Photo Rejuvenation?

Broadband light therapy works to improve a number of skin imperfections including sun damage and other blemishes without damaging the outermost layer of skin. Though BBL™ is most commonly performed on the face, neck, back, chest, and hands, it can be performed safely nearly anywhere on the body.

BBL™ photo rejuvenation therapy heats the outer layer of skin, and the pulsation of broadband light works by increasing the production of collagen cells under the skin’s surface. The outer layer of skin is not affected, but the new collagen improves and revitalizes the skin from the inside out. In addition to removing unwanted blemishes, BBL™ can both tighten and improve the overall texture of your skin.

How Much Does BBL™ Photo Rejuvenation Cost?

We share pricing information during our initial consultation. No two patients require the same treatment plan and your pricing may vary based on the treatment area and other factors. To help ensure our patients can afford their cosmetic care we offer several financing options.

What Should I Expect During Broadband Light Therapy?

BBL™ therapy is a non-surgical procedure and requires no sedation or anesthesia, but sometimes patient prefer to use a topical anesthetic for comfort. In preparation for your treatment, you will only be asked to wear protective eyewear to shield your eyes from the light. During the procedure, the skin being treated will have a warm sensation. In many cases, BBL™ therapy is performed in conjunction with other non-surgical treatments such as Botox® or dermal fillers to enhance your results.

What is the Recovery from BBL™ Photo Rejuvenation?

BBL™ is a simple, lunchtime procedure that can be completed in just 15-30 minutes and requires no recovery time. You can return to work and even apply makeup immediately following a BBL™ session. You will see improvement in your skin immediately, but for the best results, it is recommended that you complete anywhere from two to five full treatments. Following the procedure, you may experience a slight redness that will go away on its own in less than one day’s time.

During your consultation, you and your doctor will discuss your treatment options. If you live in West Palm Beach, Wellington, Jupiter, Palm Springs or surrounding areas, contact Plastic Surgery of Palm Beach to find out if BBL™ photo rejuvenation therapy is right for you.
