Botox to the upper lateral eyelid areas depresses the function of the orbicularis oris muscle which is the desired effect of a mini-brow lift. I think patients love this effect, and I do very little mini-brow lifting. It is much cheaper, safer and if the patient doesn’t like how it looks it wears off.
